For litigation teams reconsidering Casefleet
Casefleet's Advanced AI plan went from $75 to $140 per user a month in 2026, so a lot of firms are pricing the alternatives. Here is who else does the chronology and fact work, what each one prints as a price, and one you can test on a real matter today.
Prices come from each vendor's own page where one exists. Where a vendor prints no price, we say so instead of guessing.
Upload the pleadings, depositions and exhibits from a case and ask what happened when. Every answer names the source document. 25 pages on the house, no card.
Free preview, no account needed: up to 3 files and 10 pages.
The closest Casefleet alternative is CaseMap+ AI from LexisNexis, the fact and chronology database Casefleet was built to replace, sold by quote. MasterFile and TrialLine cover the same ground for smaller firms, at about $149 and $50 to $129 per user a month in directory listings. If your team mostly needs to find and cite facts in the file rather than maintain a fact database, CaseClerk does that reading at a published $99 a month for the whole account.
Pick a matter you know cold
Use a closed case where you already know the key dates, the inconsistent testimony and the exhibit that mattered. That is your answer key.
Upload it to CaseClerk
Add the complaint, depositions, key emails and exhibits. Ask for the sequence of events, who knew what and when, and where each witness contradicts the record.
Check every cite
Open the document named under each answer. Count how many facts hold up and how many you would have missed.
Decide which job you are paying for
If the answers were the point, a $99 account may replace several Casefleet seats. If your team needs the living fact database, stay with a chronology tool.
Casefleet is a full litigation workspace and does things CaseClerk does not. This table is for deciding which job you are buying.

Employment and civil rights plaintiffs' firms
Personnel files, emails and deposition transcripts, where the question is always who said what and when. Ask it in a sentence and get the email and the page.
Solo litigators on Casefleet Starter
The 20 document cap is the wall. CaseClerk Solo reads 2,500 pages a month for $99 with no per case document limit under 1,000 files.
Small defense teams paying for several seats
Three people on Advanced AI is $420 a month. The same team can share one CaseClerk Professional account at $249 for 10,000 pages.
Firms leaving desktop CaseMap
If CaseMap was where you typed facts you found by reading, a reading tool may replace it outright, before you pay for a migration.
We checked each vendor's own site. Two print a price you can budget from, and the rest send you to sales or rely on directory listings that disagree.
| Tool | What it is | Price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casefleet | Browser based fact chronology and case workspace with the Casey AI assistant | $30 Starter, $140 Advanced AI per user a month, Enterprise quoted for 20+ users | casefleet.com/pricing |
| CaseMap+ AI (LexisNexis) | Fact and chronology database, cloud successor to desktop CaseMap with TextMap and TimeMap folded in | No published price, sales quote | LexisNexis product pages |
| MasterFile | Case fact and document organizer tying facts, witnesses and documents to a timeline | $149 per user a month in one listing | SoftwareFinder, not confirmed by the vendor |
| TrialLine | Visual litigation timelines for trial and mediation | About $50 to $129 per user a month, listings disagree | ITQlick, Clio app directory |
| Opus 2 | Litigation and trial platform for larger teams, transcripts and hearings | No published price found | Vendor site |
| Mary Technology | AI fact extraction and chronologies for litigators | No published price found | Vendor site, Capterra listing |
| CaseClerk | Reads a matter's documents and answers questions, citing the source document | $99, $249, $499 or $998 a month per account | caseclerk.ai/pricing |
Directory prices are listings, not quotes. Treat them as a starting point for the sales call.
Casefleet's Advanced AI plan was $75 per user a month in March 2026 and $140 by the end of June, according to the pricing tracker PricingSaaS. The plan now includes ten times the AI credits and far more free document pages, so it is a bigger product, but the per seat bill for a team that mostly used the chronology roughly doubled. The annual discount also fell from 25% to 22%.
That is a good moment to ask what your team really uses. Our Casefleet pricing breakdown works out the yearly cost at 1 to 10 users and what each plan includes.
These two are the like for like choice. Casefleet wins on price visibility, browser access and setup time. CaseMap+ AI wins if your firm already lives in the LexisNexis ecosystem and wants the TextMap transcript tools, and it is bought on a quote. If you are coming from desktop CaseMap, read our CaseMap pricing and alternatives article first.
A chronology database pays off when someone keeps it current. In many small firms nobody does: the facts get entered in a burst before a deposition or a summary judgment brief, then the database goes stale. If that is your pattern, you are paying monthly per seat for something used a few weeks a year.
CaseClerk skips the data entry. Upload the file when you need it, ask "list every date the supervisor was told about the complaint" and get the answer with the document named under each line. For visual timelines built from those answers, see legal timeline software.
Upload one real matter, ask the questions your next filing depends on, and check the document behind each answer. 25 pages, no card, plans from $99 a month.
