CloudLex Pricing and CloudLex Cost Per User for PI Firms

CloudLex does not publish a price. Here is what its plans include, the one unconfirmed estimate in circulation, how a PI firm can budget before the demo, and what to ask so the quote is comparable.

CloudLex does not publish a price. Its own pricing page says it "does not publish or authorize standard public per-user pricing" and builds each quote from the plan, the number of users, intake needs, storage, integrations, AI and optional services. If you see a number elsewhere, it is an estimate. The only one I found is a $49 per user per month starting price on GetApp, and that is not confirmed by the vendor.

That leaves a personal injury firm comparing a quote it cannot yet see. Below is what CloudLex states, what each plan includes, a way to budget before the demo, and what to ask so the quote is comparable. If you want a published number to compare, our CasePeer pricing breakdown prints one.

How much does CloudLex cost?

CloudLex costs whatever its sales team quotes after a demo, because it publishes no dollar figure. The only public estimate is GetApp's $49 per user per month starting price, which the vendor does not confirm. Budget for the quote to move with user count, plan tier, storage and add-ons rather than relying on a single per seat rate.

What is in CloudLex Professional, Advanced and Enterprise?

CloudLex sells three plans, none with a price on the page. Professional covers matter management, contacts, expenses, tasks and documents. Advanced adds reporting, lead management and a website forms API. Enterprise adds intake with a chatbot and call center, QuickBooks Online expense integration, AI fuzzy search, referral and e-sign collaboration, and archival with unlimited retrieval.

ProfessionalMatter management, contacts and communication, expenses and tasks, document managementQuoted
AdvancedEverything in Professional plus reporting, lead management and a website forms APIQuoted
EnterpriseEverything in Advanced plus intake (chatbot and call center), QuickBooks Online expense integration, AI fuzzy search, referrals and e-sign collaboration, 10 year archivalQuoted

The pricing page also lists optional services with no prices: remote paralegal support, a bilingual call center, medical record retrieval, QuickBooks Online expense management, advanced cognitive search and closed case digital storage. For a PI firm the services can matter more than the seat count, so ask for each one as its own line.

Does CloudLex have AI?

Yes, in two places. AI powered fuzzy search is listed under Enterprise. Lexee AI is described as a separate product for lead and intake capture, demand package drafting, medical summaries and timelines, a client web assistant and chat with your case. The page does not say which plan includes Lexee AI or what it costs, so treat it as a separate line item until a quote says otherwise.

Does CloudLex have a free trial?

The pricing page offers a demo through a Request a Demo button and mentions no free trial. Third party listings say the same. In practice you see the product with a salesperson first and the price afterward, which is the opposite order from a firm that wants to test on its own matter before talking numbers.

A way to budget before the demo

Because there is no list price, set a range and test the quote against it. Take the $49 GetApp figure as a low marker only, multiply by your users for 12 months, then add the services you expect to use. For a five person firm that is a floor of $2,940 a year before add-ons, which is illustrative arithmetic, not a CloudLex price. If the quote lands far above it, the difference is usually Enterprise intake, services or storage, and the quote should show which.

Is CloudLex worth it for a small PI firm?

It can be, if you want intake, leads, referrals and case management in one system and plan to use the services. It is a heavier purchase than a flat priced tool, and with no public price you cannot compare it quickly. Firms that mainly need to understand the documents in a file, such as medical records, police reports and correspondence, may be buying more system than the job needs.

Where a flat priced reading tool fits next to CloudLex

Case management stores the file. It does not always tell you what is in it. CaseClerk reads the records you upload and answers plain-English questions, with the source document named in every answer, at $99 to $998 a month per account. It does not replace intake, billing or calendars. Some PI firms keep a case management system and run the document reading separately, which makes the reading cost easy to see.

If your demand letters depend on reading hundreds of pages of treatment records, test that part first with a CaseClerk trial: 25 pages across up to 5 files, no card. For other PI systems, see LawAlign pricing, a one time license, and SmartAdvocate pricing.

What to ask before you sign a CloudLex quote

  • The user definition. Which roles count as users, and whether intake staff and part time paralegals are billed.
  • The plan for the features you saw. Get the plan name next to every feature demonstrated, especially Lexee AI and the call center.
  • Services as separate lines. Paralegal support, record retrieval and storage, each priced alone.
  • Storage and archival. What closed case storage costs per matter and how retrieval is charged.
  • Term and increases. Contract length, renewal increases and the notice you get.
  • Migration. What moving data in and out costs.

Whichever system you pick, signed retainers and medical releases have to come back fast, and an online document e-signing service can handle that step without adding a seat on your case management plan.
