GoldFynch Pricing 2026 per GB and What a GoldFynch Case Costs
GoldFynch publishes its prices: $27 a month for a 3 GB case up to $652 for 100 GB, with unlimited users. Here is the full table, what a matter really costs and when a reading tool is the better buy.

GoldFynch pricing is published and billed per case by plan size: $27 a month for a 3 GB case, $76 for 10 GB, $342 for 50 GB and $652 for 100 GB, with unlimited users, processing and OCR included. Above 300 GB each extra 50 GB costs $275 a month. A firm that also runs cases under an Organization pays a flat $200 a month on top. That makes GoldFynch one of the very few ediscovery tools where you can price a matter before you talk to anyone.
The question for a small firm is less what GoldFynch costs and more which part of the job you are paying for. If you have to process, review and produce, a per GB ediscovery tool is the right category. If you mostly need to read what the other side sent and find the documents that matter, a reading tool may be the cheaper buy. Both are covered below, with the numbers.
GoldFynch pricing table by case size
These are the case plans from GoldFynch's own documentation. The price is for the plan, not the data inside it, and the rate per GB falls as the case grows.
| Case size | Price per month | Price per GB |
|---|---|---|
| 512 MB (one trial case) | Free, 90 days | n/a |
| 3 GB | $27 | $9.00 |
| 10 GB | $76 | $7.60 |
| 15 GB | $108 | $7.20 |
| 25 GB | $179 | $7.16 |
| 35 GB | $244 | $6.97 |
| 50 GB | $342 | $6.84 |
| 75 GB | $505 | $6.73 |
| 100 GB | $652 | $6.52 |
| 150 GB | $896 | $5.97 |
| Above 300 GB | $275 per extra 50 GB | about $5.50 |
GoldFynch's pricing FAQ says the volume discount stops improving around 100 GB (it quotes $5.50 per GB), and cases above a terabyte are priced by contacting support. Enterprise pricing applies when volumes exceed 500 GB a month, and on premises deployments start at $250,000 a year on multi year contracts.
How GoldFynch billing works
Four rules decide what the invoice says, and they are worth knowing before you load a production.
- You pay for the plan size, not what you store. A 3 GB case costs $27 whether it holds 0 GB or 3 GB. When a case outgrows its plan it upgrades automatically. Downgrades are not automatic, so shrink a case yourself after culling.
- Billing is prorated. Delete a 3 GB case on the 15th and you pay about $13.50 for that month. Only the case owner is billed.
- Volume counts what you upload, including the extracted contents of ZIP and PST containers. Productions, reports and derived files do not count.
- Extras are separate. The $200 a month Organization fee runs even with no cases until you delete the Organization. Hosting outside the US typically costs 50% more. Custom imports and services are quoted in advance.
Government agencies and nonprofits get 10% off the first full month on cases over 15 GB. There is no annual plan on the pricing page.
How much does GoldFynch cost for a real matter?
Because the price is per month per case, the number that matters is plan size multiplied by how long the case stays open. Litigation runs long, so a cheap monthly rate can still add up.
| Matter | Plan | Months open | GoldFynch total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small business dispute, one custodian's email and files | 10 GB | 6 | $456 |
| Employment case, three custodians | 25 GB | 9 | $1,611 |
| Commercial case with a large opposing production | 50 GB | 12 | $4,104 |
| Construction dispute, many custodians | 150 GB | 12 | $10,752 |
Totals use the published plan prices and assume the case sits on the same plan the whole time. Close or shrink a case when discovery ends and the total drops, since billing stops the moment a case is deleted. If an Organization is used, add $200 for each month.
Does GoldFynch have a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets one free case for 90 days, limited to 512 MB of uploads and 1 GB of processed files, with no credit card required. Productions from a free case carry a GoldFynch watermark, free cases are processed after paid ones, and an expired free case is deleted after a 30 day grace period. It is enough to test the interface on a few hundred documents, not a real production.
Is GoldFynch cheaper than Logikcull and Everlaw?
For a small matter, usually yes. GoldFynch prices a 10 GB case at $76 a month, while Logikcull bills per GB stored with a 10 GB minimum, and Everlaw quotes per GB with AI priced on top. The comparison below covers what each one charges for and what it does. Our Logikcull pricing breakdown and Everlaw pricing per GB have the full figures, and Relativity pricing covers the enterprise end.
| GoldFynch | Logikcull | Everlaw | CaseClerk | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price shown publicly | Yes, full table by case size | No figure on its pricing page; $40 per GB in its own older blog | No, quote | Yes, $99, $249, $499 a month |
| Billed by | Plan size in GB, prorated | GB stored, 10 GB minimum | GB, plus AI features | Pages read, per account |

| Productions, Bates, privilege log | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Plain English questions answered with the source named | No | With Reveal AI on annual plans | Yes, AI features | Yes, every answer |
GoldFynch wins on transparency and on small matters. It does not try to answer questions about the documents in plain English, which is where the newer AI review tools and our own product sit.
When you need ediscovery and when you need a reading tool
Pick an ediscovery platform such as GoldFynch when you have to collect, process, tag, redact and produce, with Bates numbers and a privilege log. That workflow needs per GB infrastructure and GoldFynch prices it fairly.
Pick a reading tool when the documents are already in hand and the job is to understand them: the other side's production, the client's own files, the record before a deposition. That is what CaseClerk's legal document review software does. Upload the documents for one matter, ask in plain English (every email where the supplier admits the late delivery), and each answer names the file it came from. Pricing is per account by pages read: Solo is $99 a month for 2,500 pages, Professional $249 for 10,000 pages, Firm $499 for 30,000 pages.
The two are not exclusive. A common pattern for a small litigation shop is to process and cull the production in an ediscovery tool, then load the few hundred documents that matter into CaseClerk to prepare witnesses. Closer to trial the same set feeds the outlines and exhibit list, which is the job our trial preparation software comparison covers.
And if the request on your desk is not litigation at all but a former employee's privacy access request, an ediscovery case is the wrong tool. DSAR software that finds where a person's data lives across your systems handles that job with the deadlines built in.
GoldFynch pricing questions
How much does GoldFynch cost per GB?
GoldFynch costs between $9.00 per GB on the 3 GB plan and $5.97 per GB on the 150 GB plan, based on its published case plans. Above 300 GB, each additional 50 GB is $275 a month, about $5.50 per GB. Processing and OCR are included in those prices.
Does GoldFynch charge per user?
No. GoldFynch allows unlimited users on every case at no extra charge. Only the case owner is billed, and the bill is based on the case plan size. That makes it friendly to firms that bring in co-counsel, experts or clients to review documents.
Is GoldFynch good for small law firms?
GoldFynch is built for small and mid-size firms that handle their own discovery. Published prices, free processing and unlimited users suit a firm with a few matters a year. Firms that mostly need to read and question documents rather than produce them may get more from a reading tool such as CaseClerk.
Can I try CaseClerk on the same documents?
Yes. Export the documents that matter from your review set and upload them to a CaseClerk case. The trial covers 25 pages and up to 5 files with no card, enough to see whether cited answers save you the reading time. See CaseClerk pricing for the paid plans.
